Under the direction of the Director, Retail and Mail Order, the scope and breath of the manager position will vary in scope and complexity based on the area to which the manager is assigned. In general, the manager will: assist the supervisor and director in the supervision of the staff, planning and administration of pharmaceutical services in their assigned area; possess and maintain the respect of the staff; function as a facilitator in a team-based environment; clearly and effectively communicate the mission, goals, directions, critical issues and values of the Geisinger Health System to the employees who work within the manager’s area of responsibility; and effectively communicate the opinions, concerns, and suggestions of the staff to the pharmacy director.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college and current licensure by the Pennsylvania Board of Pharmacy required.
Three years’ experience in managing a retail pharmacy required and prior experience with computers preferred. Entrepreneurial abilities are sought and encouraged.
Experience in hospital outpatient pharmacy programs (Bedside Delivery, 340B) desired.
