The Senior Proposal Writer is responsible for developing high quality proposal responses for PBM's key business development opportunities. The Senior Proposal Writer is responsible for all aspects of assigned proposals and manage the proposal process through to completion. This position reports directly to the RFP/Proposals Director.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include planning, organizing, writing, managing, and coordinating of proposal production.
Participate in the proposal process including capture planning, RFP analysis, development and review of the execution strategy, identification of proposal requirements, writing, proofing and production.
Develop compelling content focused on communicating our determined value proposition for each specific opportunity.
Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop content for responses requiring technical expertise.
Work with cross-functional teams to ensure deadlines and requirements for each proposal are met
Completes proposals on time within reasonable workload standards and with accurate information; requires ensuring questions are answered completely and in the order questions are asked.
Ensures productive use of the RFP database and tools; includes assisting the Proposal Manager in maintaining and updating the database with current and accurate information.
Improve proposal responses by evaluating and re-designing boilerplate information to speak to opportunity.
Education and Experience
This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, journalism or other business related fields with a preferred 4-5 years of proposal writing or related experience.
Previous experience in the PBM, healthcare industry and experience with Qvidian is a plus.

Ability to organize information in a clear and concise manner
Ability to learn the Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) industry
Must have expert level knowledge of all desktop computer applications such as MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Reader
Ability to multitask and possess excellent time management skills
Ability to work under strict deadlines and prioritize assignments
