The Lead Pharmacy Technician under the direction of the Pharmacy Technician Supervisor will provide direct supervision in the pharmacy for pharmacy technicians. Also, the Lead Pharmacy Technician will assist the Technician Supervisor with the coordination, scheduling, and evaluation of the performance of pharmacy technicians. The Lead Pharmacy Technician is also responsible for assisting management with creating and implementing service standards for the technicians to coordinate the work flow and pharmacy staffing for best efficiency.
Performs duties to support the goals and objectives of the Geisinger in its efforts to provide the highest level of patient care and patient satisfaction.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred and consideration given for any college level education.
Minimum of two years of experience as a pharmacy technician in a hospital setting required.
Working knowledge of computer software required including EPIC, Omnicell, Lawson.
Needs to maintain pharmacy technician III certification.
