Job Summary: Under the direction of Pharmacist in Charge, perform the following functions on a daily basis:
Receive, translate, and input prescriptions into the Benecard Central Fill system following company guidelines while in compliance with state and federal laws, and HIPAA guidelines.
Fail orders to problem resolution queue.
Fulfillment of Orders
Pull and dispense Pharmaceutical medications
Dispense medications using provided counting machines or hand count.
Restock work area on a regular basis.
Assist Inventory Manager with Daily Wholesaler order
Communicate with PIC on a daily basis as to status of workflow, exceptions, inventory etc.
Exceptions and Resolutions
Delete/Pend requests as requested
Perform customer service duties
Communicate with PIC and other staff daily about orders requiring intervention, and answering questions from providers
Create and submit orders to wholesalers
Process shorts when inventory received
Process expired drug and wholesaler returns
Timely scanning and filing of wholesaler invoices and statements
Replenish stock in dispensing area
Assist in physical inventories conducted throughout the year
Assist in packing and shipping orders in a timely fashion.
Assist with tracking and resolving problem orders.
Training, scheduling and supervising other technicians.
High School Diploma
Certification by Florida Board of Pharmacy Program for Pharmacy Technicians
MINIMUM 5 YEARS Previous Pharmacy Technician Experience Required
Must be reliable
Attention to Detail
Maintains a sense of urgency
Ability to interpret and enter prescriptions
Knowledge of Pharmacy and SIG codes
Basic computer skills
Effective communication skills
Familiarity with Wholesale ordering applications
Ability to stand for 8 hours a day minimum
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to troubleshoot and work independently
Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and other departments
Ability to work in fast paced environment

Assist to maintain a neat, organized pharmacy
