Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking Clinical Pharmacists in the following specialty areas:  Medical ICU, Oncology, and Emergency Department/Medicine.

The incumbent is responsible for ensuring optimal pharmaceutical care for our patients for all age groups within the area of specialty.   

The specialized practice will encompass more than half of the overall practice of the pharmacist. Also will participate in clinical and economic analysis of pharmaceutical care provided to these patients and make recommendations as warranted. The Clinical Pharmacist Specialist will be the principle pharmacist involved in directing the pharmacy aspects of these specialties, including disseminating drug information to the pharmacy staff and others as warranted. Effectively communicates verbally and in writing to patients, physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other customers of the hospital.

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required

  • PharmD or Master's degree related to pharmacy preferred
  • Specialty Residency preferred
  • WV Board of Pharmacy Licensure required
  • Board Certified in specialty area preferred
  • 1 to 2 Years of Position-Related Experience required
  • Specialty Residency preferred
