University of Vermont Medical Center, Vermont’s academic medical center and founding member of the University of Vermont Health Network, seeks a Pharmacy Technician.
The Pharmacy Technician Certified, under the direction and supervision of a pharmacist, performs those duties, which do not require the professional training and judgment of a pharmacist. The technician Certified has specialized knowledge in pharmaceutical nomenclature, medical terminology and mathematical calculations involving dilution of concentrates, ratios, weights and measures. The Technician Certified consistently performs and builds on prior knowledge gained from performance as a technician trainee and National Certification requirements.

High School/GED required. One year of post high school education preferred. Licensed Pharmacy Tech in the State of Vermont.
Related pharmacy work experience required.
Formal training within the University of Vermont Medical Center's Inpatient Pharmacy will be required, including completion of all competencies required of a Technician Trainee. Current National Board of Pharmacy Certification required.
